 Heart Centered Yoga - Tai Chi- Meditation/Mindfulness 

Join us for gentle Yoga, Meditation and Tai Chi in a warm, friendly environment.  Our teachers provide a thoughtful blend of Heart ­Centered movement and meditation. 

Smaller classes ­- Non­competitive ­- All inclusive ­- All ability levels

All yoga classes drop-in: $15/class or purchase an 8 class pass for $99;
Students, Seniors, Veterans $10 drop in

 

Beginner Yoga - with Satya Shulman, MS CYT-200 (call for start date)
Each class focuses on the body alignment and breathing techniques while learning how to integrate coordinate and balance your physical body with the emotional and mental bodies.  No experience necessary. All are welcome.

Flow - Yoga of Now - Satya Shulman, MS CYT-200 (Thursdays 6:45 pm)

This class inspires “meditation-in-motion” by breath coordinated with movement, creative sequences, pranayama and guided meditation (Yoga Nidra). Students are encouraged to honor the wisdom of their bodies by working around their limits. Satya emphasizes the proper breath and alignment as well as the inner, spiritual dimensions of yoga practice.

Kundalini Yoga - Lizbeth Wolfe, E-RYT 500, RPYT, BFA (Tuesdays 7 pm)

Every Kundalini class includes a dynamic blend of exercises, breath techniques, mantra, mudra, eye focus, music, deep relaxation, and meditation. Through practice you’ll learn the art of relaxation, self-healing, and develop an enhanced awareness of mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga Journey Inward- Amy Wainright, CYT/ Brittany Weigand, CYT - Fridays, 11 am - 12:00 pm

A balanced yoga class for students of all levels who want a deeper and more expansive experience of yoga.  Slow down in this class that creates a space for stillness and deep nurturing through the teachings of yoga. 

 

Other Classes:

Yin Yoga is a quiet and simple practice, targeting the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, and the deep fascia networks of the body.  Props are used to create as little effort while holding poses, allowing joints and fascia to release.  Join Kashmere for this time to slow down and create a space for stillness and deep nurturing to release stored emotions, feelings and sensations.  Kashmere includes a breathing practice,short meditation, yoga assists and reiki.Restorative - Lee Schroeder, RYT or Kashmere Wimbush,

Restorative yoga is a quiet time to recharge and nourish the body while balancing the nervous system, boosting the immune system and reducing stress.  Using focused breathing we will connect with the calm quiet center deep rooted in all of us. Multiple props are used to support and help activate relaxation. This is the perfect way to start a new week!

Wellness Yoga (Chair) -  This is an all-inclusive yoga class for students seeking a gentle class, incorporating mindfulness meditation and body awareness. Connie offers modifications with props for her student for increased flexibility.

Tai Chi - TBD  (Drop in $15.00 or purchase 8 classes $99)
Tai Chi is a graceful form of exercise.  It invovles a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.  Tai chi hleps reduce stress and anxiety, improves and maintains balalnce, coordination, flexibility and strength.  Class meets 7:30-8:30 pm

Mindfulness/Meditation TBD
Mindfulness means giving full attention to the present moment without judgment. It is both a practice and a way of life.  Support your own meditation practice with the support of these groups.

Yoga Series:

MFR Yoga (Myofascial Release) 4-week series - call for dates

Join Mary Goldstein, CYT 200for these MFR Sessions which blend yoga with the John F. Barnes approach to Myofascial Release.  Experience a powerful self-treatment tool that can help ease pain, stiffness, stress and anxiety by bringing your body/mind/spirit into balance.  No experience necessary.  $60 - must sign up for the series, no drop ins.  

 

Teen EMPOWERME Yoga - 6 week Series - call for dates

Megan Davis, CYT, LISW-S - This class is designed to meet the unique needs of teens.  A flowing physical practice will empower students to build strength and self confidence. Mindfulness and breathing exercises will be introduced as tools to manage anxiety and reduce stress. Classes may include journaling, art or other thoughtful activities to deepen self awareness and create space for self expression.  
6-weeks $75.00 or $15 drop in

Prenatal Yoga - Call for dates

Lizbeth Wolfe, E-RYT 500, RPYT, BFA -  Using breath, movement and mindfulness, participants are taught techniques to ease discomforts of pregnancy while preparing physically and emotionally for labor and motherhood.  6-weeks $75 or drop in $15

Family Yoga 
Lee Schroeder, EYT - You and your child will practice fun Yoga movements and learn simple partner poses to help children cultivate body awareness and coordination. They will also learn breathing techniques and skills for self-calming and stress relief. Our goal is to develop strong minds and bodies and keep the spirit bright!  For ages 4 to 18!

 

 

Preschool and Kids Yoga Classes TBD - Call for dates

Children learn and process their world through play. Our Kids Yoga classes are fun and engaging. Students explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and stress management.

Insight now offers Yoga classes for individuals with high functioning Autism or Asperger's.

This class is intended for high functioning individuals to promote balance, flexibility, strength and to stabilize moods and promote an inner calm.  Emphasis on the breath/mindfulness; develops self-regulation and focus and includes encouragement of social skill development.

Classes include specialized instruction by YEAS (Yoga Education for Autistic Spectrum) certified instructors.
